California Library Association has been serving millions of Californians for over 125 years by supporting, training, and advocating for California librarians and library workers.

The Edna Yelland CLA Scholarship for BIPOC students, is given in memory of CLA's longtime executive secretary/director (1946-64) and former County Librarian, Edna Yelland. It is awarded to students enrolled in ALA-accredited graduate programs in library or information science in California. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage and support BIPOC students in the attainment of a graduate degree in library or information science and to encourage commitment to the improvement of library services to BIPOC communities.

A great way to support this effort is to share this fundraiser with your like-minded friends and allow them to give in honor of your nonprofit organization, be it a Friends group, foundation, or other library support organization.
