What a celebration! Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday evening for our 2024 Action Maverick Awards honoring Annie Philbin and Lisa Phillips. We celebrated these two museum directors for their unwavering commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. Their relentless dedication to fostering creativity and dialogue within their respective communities has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape.

The evening was a tremendous success raising over $300,000 thanks to your generosity. We aim to raise an additional $50,000 by June 30th, the end of our fiscal year, to support STREB’s Action Heroes, teaching artists, technical crew and staff who are the pillars of STREB and charged with keeping this institution a cultural anchor in Williamsburg.

Bring Elizabeth’s action choreography to actualization: from drawing books to performance.

$5,000 STREB EXTREME ACTION

Keep the Action Heroes of STREB EXTREME ACTION in performance at SLAM and around the world.

*Sponsor a weekend of SLAM Shows.

$2,500 TEACHING ARTISTS

Support STREB’s teaching artists who educate over 500 students in weekly classes at SLAM and throughout the community.

*Underwrite one week of salaries for our teaching artists.

$1,000 EXTREME ADMINISTRATORS

Champion the work of our extreme administrators who keep STREB operating.

*Subsidize one week of front desk administration.

$500 TECHNICAL CREW

Shine light on our technical crew who work endlessly behind the scenes.

*Support a weekend of crew salaries for SLAM Shows.

$250 EMERGENCY FUND
