The Top Of Utah snowmobile club has been leading an effort to increase the size and quality of parking at Franklin Basin to improve access for winter recreationalists and reduce congestion along logan canyon:

The Franklin Basin parking lot expansion has been many years in the making. It may not seem like that big of a deal but has taken over 200 donated hours of planning. The project was facilitated by your local snowmobile club. Without a bunch of volunteer work, it would not be happening

This is not a paid parking area.

This parking lot will benefit snowmobilers, skiers, cabin owners, horsemen, hikers, and anyone else that uses the parking lot.

The grant process includes: documenting a need, grant application, obtaining estimates and permits, and hiring contractors.

Trucking gravel up the canyon is the main cost in the project.

Utah DNR Department of Recreation OHVR grant is funding most of the project.

Nordic United has collaborated with Top Of Utah providing letters of support, watershed analysis, and volunteer time. This fundraising effort is to provide additional financial support to Top Of Utah for the grant matching funds that they have already spent in support of this project. Please note these donations are only for the Franklin Basin lot project and will not be contributed into the NU general fund.
