Welcome to VIRC's Intro to Rowing Class!

Thank you for signing up for Vashon Island Rowing Club’s Introduction to Rowing Class! We’re thrilled to welcome you to the boathouse and introduce you to the fundamentals of rowing in a supportive and fun environment.

This four-Saturday class is a great way to get a feel for the sport before committing to a full season—and we’re excited to help you build confidence on the water.

🗓 Class Schedule

Saturdays | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Jensen Point Boathouse

You’ll join us for one (or both) of the following sessions:

Session 1 – June 14, 21, 28, July 5*
Session 2 – July 12, 19, 26, August 2

*Please note: the boathouse is closed July 4–5. If you’re attending Session 1, you may coordinate a makeup day with the coach in advance.

👕 What to Bring

Comfortable, snug-fitting athletic clothes (avoid loose fabric)
Water shoes or sandals that can get wet (no flip-flops)
Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat
Refillable water bottle
Optional: light snack or towel
