HISTORY

Founded in 2019, the Street Cats Club provides trap/neuter/return and foster care for hundreds of homeless cats annually. The nonprofit organization is committed to improving the lives of stray cats through prevention, action, and education.

COMMITMENT

As the city's largest TNR group, the Street Cats Club is dedicated to improving the lives of stray cats by controlling and reducing the growth of the community cat population. This is achieved by providing wide-scale spay/neuter for all stray cats, fostering sick, injured, and orphaned cats, supporting colony caregivers, and offering a grant for free spay/neuter of owned cats. The group frequently works with cats who are feral, neonatal, recovering from illness and/or injury, and those with special needs.

COLLABORATION

The Street Cats Club actively supports and partners with groups and rescues throughout Kansas by providing access to free spay/neuter opportunities, expanding foster home availability, and offering various other resources. This collaboration positions the Street Cats Club in the heart of a dynamic community of dedicated organizations, all working towards the shared goal of improving the lives of stray cats.

IMPACT

Since our founding in 2019, the Street Cats Club has:
✔ Sterilized more than 1,800 cats through our trap/neuter/return (TNR) and outreach programs—including over 1,200 stray cats through direct TNR efforts
✔ Fostered nearly 600 sick, injured, and orphaned cats, providing essential medical care, recovery, and adoption opportunities
✔ Distributed thousands of pounds of cat food, built and delivered hundreds of winter shelters, and supported colony caregivers throughout the region
