Need That Started It All

Last winter, on one of the coldest nights of the year, we got a call we'll never forget.

Temperatures were falling rapidly in North Georgia and warming shelters were opening their doors. Knowing what we do about the unhoused population, we knew if their pets were not allowed inside, they wouldn't go either. We called around and offered our heated bus as a temporary shelter. We got one call back.

When we arrived, a woman was standing outside with her dog, Max. She was freezing. Max was shivering. But she refused to go inside.

Why? Because the shelter could not accommodate pets. And she wasn't about to leave Max in the cold.

"He's all I have," she told us through tears. "I'd rather freeze than leave him."

That night, we brought our P.A.W. bus—our big blue Pet Adoption Wagon—to the shelter. We set up a warm, safe space for Max while his mom got the help she needed inside.

When families are escaping domestic violence and need temporary foster for their animals, we try to help. That's what Bogey's Buddies does.

We don't just rescue pets. We keep families together. We show up when it matters most. We say "yes" when everyone else says "no."

Why We Need Your Help This Giving Tuesday

Here's the truth: We're a small, volunteer-run rescue in Bartow County, Georgia. We don't have corporate sponsors or million-dollar budgets, YET. But we do have something pretty awesome...we have you.

Every dog we pull from animal control. Every cat we nurse back to health. Every family we help keep their pet- it's all possible because of this community.

But we can't do it alone.

This Giving Tuesday, we're asking you to help us raise $15,000 so we can:

✅ Rescue 100 more forgotten and unwanted dogs and cats from animal control and the streets

✅ Provide emergency vet care for pets in crisis

✅ Help 25 families keep their beloved pets through our ties to the community

✅ Keep the P.A.W. bus running for adoption events and warming shelters

What Your Donation Does

We believe in transparency. Here's exactly where your money goes:

💵 $25 = A full vet exam for a newly rescued pet

💵 $50 = Vaccines, flea treatment, and deworming for one dog or cat

💵 $100 = Spay or neuter surgery for one pet

💵 $400 = Emergency vet care for a pet in crisis

💵 $500 = A month of food and supplies for all our foster pets

💵 $1,000 = Fuel and maintenance for the P.A.W. bus for 3 months

Every single dollar goes directly to the animals. We're 100% volunteer-run, which means your donation isn't paying for salaries or fancy offices. It's paying for lives saved.
