Ruth Petermann's Story

Many people today have not heard of polio, but a generation or two ago, polio was known and feared by people all over the world. Polio is a devastating disease that affects children and has no cure, but can be prevented with a vaccine. Since 1988, Rotary has been instrumental in reducing cases in the world by 99.9%. However, until we end polio forever, every child is at risk. This year we are not only raising funds to help local organizations, but also working to eradicate polio in the world.
