YWCA Cortland is launching its newest fundraiser to support all those YWCA Cortland serves in the community. The 4K walk will begin at the main facility on Clayton Ave, travel along Main St., and N. Main St. to Homer Ave., passing our Here We Grow early learning child care center along the way. The walk will proceed to the turnaround point at the Grace Brown House, a permanent supportive housing facility where our Aid to Victims of Violence Program provides services to women domestic violence survivors and their children. The return route follows Groton Ave. and ends back at Clayton Ave. An open house will precede the walk at 8:30 AM so community members can learn about all YWCA services provided through its four programs: Aid to Victims of Violence, Child Care, Health & Fitness, and Mentoring. Walkers and community members are invited to attend and visit with YWCA program staff, participate in activities, decorate signs, and enjoy refreshments, music, and community spirit!
