It’s auction weekend again. There are 335+ horses in the catalog alone this week ... plus uncatalog and the loose sales. It could be close to 500 horses in need tomorrow :(

Even when we don’t have room for many, being there matters. Just last month, documenting horses at the auction made it possible for two Belgian teammates to find each other again after being separated.

But just as important as stepping in at auction is caring for the horses already here. We’ve taken in several in urgent need this fall—including Chester—and now it’s time to put up our entire year’s worth of hay. 🌾 With more than 60 horses in our care, that hay pile is what gets them safely through the South Dakota winter.
