I am an alum of the 2023 six-week summer workshop, and I'm excited to help raise money for Clarion West, an organization committed to supporting emerging and underrepresented voices. Your contributions will help Clarion West find a permanent home for in-person workshops, secure low-cost access to classes for writers, fund scholarships for emerging writers, and provide year-round community programming to connect writers around the globe.
Wish me luck as I aim to complete 6k new words and end with a brand new short story draft! Thank you for supporting the important work of organizations like Clarion West!
Progress Updates:
7/19/25 - Ended Week 1 of the WAT strong with 3428 new words, and about 60% of a new draft of a short story! I'll be plugging away for the rest of the weekend trying to finish and make the ending land. After a dry season (and a lot of *feelings* about my slower output this year) it is good to get back to work, and to feel that the work has just been waiting to invite me back to that creative space where I feel most myself!
