Clarion West's mission is to support emerging and underrepresented voices in the fields of science fiction, fantasy, horror (etc), mostly through writing workshops and other professional education opportunities, and through engaging writers, readers, and the general public in ongoing conversations about craft, art, and writing.

Here in 2025, when we're facing a federal government that seems committed to defunding the arts and ensuring that underrepresented voices stay silent, Clarion West's work is more important than ever.

My Write-a-thon Plan

For this year's Write-a-thon, I'm writing a piece of interactive fiction called Journey to the Haunted Tor. This will be a tie-in to my upcoming Choice of Games title, Spire, Surge, and Sea, and will be freely released as part of this year's IFComp in September.
