As pilgrims reach the halfway point for mass on Day 1, they are given a rose to place at the Blessed Mother’s feet. At this point during the pilgrimage, the walk is testing the physical limits of pilgrims and, similar to when our daily crosses become almost too much, Our Lady comes to our aide in a simple yet beautiful respite.

As the pilgrim numbers grow each year, so do the number of roses laid before her!
