WPA is proud to participate as a charity partner of The TCS New York City Marathon, the largest marathon in the world. Support Team WPA as they train for and run the marathon on Sunday, November 2, all for a good cause.

Instead of investing in prisons and jails, WPA invests in women. Systems-involved women often face unique challenges, including high rates of trauma, economic instability, and the need for family reunification—and our comprehensive programs and services address these needs. Every dollar raised helps us continue our critical work, ensuring women have what they need to rebuild their lives, reach their goals, and achieve limitless and   fulfilling futures.

"After I came home from incarceration, WPA helped me to obtain much needed resources to get back on my feet, which included clothing, transportation, and housing. My case manager also assisted me in getting a grant to attend trade school where I learned customer service. After receiving workforce development training, WPA supported me with my job search, and eventual employment with a black car service agency. Now, I work as a Youth Care Specialist, giving back to young people who are justice impacted - the way that WPA helped me."
