The Polar Plunge takes place at Newfound Lake Inn’s Winterfest, which runs from 11am to 3pm.

Get ready to make a splash for clean water at the Newfound Polar Plunge, presented by Hiltz Aggregates and hosted by the Newfound Lake Inn as part of their Winterfest celebration! Brave the icy waters, or cheer on your friends, while raising critical funds for the Newfound Lake Region Association.

💙 All proceeds support NLRA’s year-round work protecting Newfound Lake and its watershed.

How it Works

Sign up by creating your personal fundraising page. (Click the green "Take the Plunge" button.)
Share your page with friends and family and ask them to support your plunge.
Take the plunge, in person at Winterfest or remotely, and celebrate a job well done!

We ask all participants to raise a minimum of $100 through donations made on their behalf.

Participants will jump into the icy waters for a quick, exhilarating plunge—then warm up and enjoy the Winterfest atmosphere!

Can’t make it to the main event? You can still take part!

No lake access required! Fundraise from anywhere and complete your own icy challenge—snow angels, cold showers, or creative alternatives encouraged.

Important Information

A signed liability waiver is required for all participants
Safety personnel will be on site
Costumes are encouraged (and celebrated!)
