The Robbin Holland Promise Award

Robbin Holland was a friend, a philanthropist, and a volunteer who left us too early. In her memory, we honor someone each year who exemplifies her servant heart, leadership, and compassion.

The Robbin Holland Promise Award winner of 2026 is Mary Jo Weaver. Mary Jo was first introduced to Miriam’s Promise in 2012 by Dietz Osborne when he asked her to help hostess at that year’s Celebrate the Promise event. She remembers being moved to tears by that year’s story of the mission, and from then on, any time Dietz asked for event help, if she was available, she was there. Skip forward a few years to 2016 and the Miriam’s Promise team asked her to serve on the planning committee for Celebrate the Promise and she’s been working with Miriam’s Promise, most specifically helping to plan Celebrate The Promise since.

“Being able to use her skills and connections to bring more awareness to the mission of supporting families looking to adopt as well as supporting birth families, pregnant women in prison and providing pregnancy support has been a blessing over this last decade,” Says Weaver. “I have loved watching families grow through the work of Miriam’s Promise. There are only a few causes that I hold near and dear to my heart, and Miriam’s Promise is high on that list. Having had the fortune to work closely with Robbin Holland on two Celebrate the Promise committees, to even be mentioned in the same sentence with her, is truly an honor as she is to the day one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met, and I am definitely a better person having known her.”
