For generations of Burnet students, Donald Fawcett was more than a familiar face - he was someone who made young people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Whether delivering milk to local schools or greeting students after school, Donald quietly looked for ways to brighten a child’s day.

Donald spent his life serving the Burnet community. After serving in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve, he returned home to raise his family with his wife, Bonnie, and dedicate his life to the people of Burnet. Through his work with local schools, his involvement in church and community organizations, and countless small acts of kindness, Donald left a lasting impact on generations of children and families.

The Donald Fawcett Community Service Scholarship was created to honor that legacy.

Our goal is to establish a permanent scholarship endowment so that Burnet students can receive a scholarship in Donald’s name every year. This scholarship will recognize students who demonstrate the same spirit Donald lived by - kindness, service to others, and commitment to their community.

With the support of friends, neighbors, and community members, we hope to ensure that Donald’s legacy continues to inspire and support Burnet students for generations to come.
