Eastern Boulevard is the heart of Essex - a place where local pride, small businesses, and community spirit come together. At Essex Community Development Corporation (Essex CDC), we’re working every day to make this important commercial corridor more vibrant, welcoming, and full of life.

One way we're doing that is through our Eastern Blvd. Street Banner Program, an initiative that beautifies "The Boulevard" while celebrating the businesses and organizations that make Essex special.

This fall, we’re inviting our CURRENT banner sponsors to RENEW their sponsorships and keep their banners displayed in the 400–500 blocks of Eastern Blvd. We’re also opening sponsorship opportunities to NEW businesses and organizations that would like to join the program as space becomes available.

By sponsoring a banner, your business or organization becomes a visible part of our shared effort to strengthen Eastern Boulevard, build community pride, and reinvigorate Essex’s central commercial district.

For CURRENT Sponsors - Renew for $100

Continue your presence on The Boulevard for another year! Your $100 annual renewal sponsorship includes:

Your custom banner displayed along Eastern Blvd. for a minimum of one additional year
Continued visibility along one of Essex’s most highly traveled commercial corridors
Recognition as a supporter of the ongoing revitalization and beautification of Essex

For NEW Sponsors - Join for $300

Want to bring your business or organization to the Boulevard? Your initial $300 sponsorship includes:

Creation of a custom banner featuring your business or organization
Display along Eastern Blvd. for a minimum of one year
Your business or organization name, website, and a photograph representing your business or organization
Visibility along one of Essex’s most highly traveled commercial corridors
Recognition as a supporter of the ongoing revitalization and beautification of Essex

The deadline for CURRENT Sponsors to renew and for NEW businesses and organizations to sign up for a 2026 banner is Wednesday, September 23, 2026. New banners are expected to be installed along Eastern Blvd. in October/November 2026!

How to Sign Up to Sponsor a Banner

For CURRENT Sponsors

Ready to renew? Click the “Sign Up Here” button, complete the required information, and submit your payment. Once your form and payment have been received and processed, you’re all set! Your banner will remain on display along Eastern Blvd. for another year.

Please note: Your renewal and payment must be received and processed by Wednesday, September 23, 2026 to guarantee your banner remains in place. Sponsorships that are not renewed by the deadline will be considered available for a new sponsor, and the existing banner will be removed.

For NEW Sponsors

Interested in joining the program? We’d love to have you! Because current sponsors have the first opportunity to renew, we need to confirm those renewals before we know how many banner locations will be available for new sponsors.

To express your interest and secure your place on the waitlist, click the “Sign Up Here” button, complete the registration process, and select “Pay by Check” as your payment option. No payment is required at this time.

Once the renewal period closes and we know how many banner locations are available, Essex CDC will contact prospective new sponsors in waitlist order with information about confirming their sponsorship, submitting payment, and providing the materials needed to design their banner.

Sponsorship Priority

The Eastern Blvd. Street Banner Program was created to highlight and support the businesses and organizations that are part of the Essex community. For that reason, when banner space is limited, priority will be given to businesses and organizations located in Essex.

Businesses and organizations located outside of Essex are still welcome to express interest in sponsoring a banner. Available spaces will be offered after Essex-based sponsorship requests have been accommodated.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind Before You Submit

We want your banner to shine - and that means making sure your image is the right size and format. Please review the following specs before sending your photo:

Banner size: 24" x 48" (portrait/vertical layout)
Keep in mind: The bottom 19 inches will be covered by the footer design — so make sure any key visuals, text, or faces are placed higher up!
File format: High-resolution 300 dpi, using CMYK color mode
Image style: A photo that represents your business — show off what you do best! Whether it’s your storefront, your team in action, or your product, pick something that captures the spirit of your work.
