Building the Future of St. Helena Baseball & Softball: The 2026 Fund-Raising Campaign

For more than half a century, St. Helena Little League has been a cornerstone of our community where generations of young athletes have learned the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance on the fields of Crane Park. As our players grow and our programs expand, it’s time for our fields to grow with them.

In 2026, we have launched a Fundraising Campaign to raise $500,000 for critical improvements to Crane Park that will ensure safe, modern, and inclusive facilities for every player and family. Our vision includes the conversion of Crane West into a regulation 50/70 field to serve Intermediate and Juniors players. This upgrade will give our upper division players the space and field dimensions they need to continue developing their skills locally without having to leave the Crane Park community they’ve grown up in.

But the campaign goes beyond the diamond. We’re also investing in a new Universal Access restroom near the snack shack to ensure accessibility for all, along with improved drainage, new pathways, fencing, irrigation, and turf management. These enhancements will not only elevate the playing experience but will preserve Crane Park as a safe, beautiful gathering place for families and fans for decades to come.

Together, we can honor our league’s proud history while building a lasting legacy for the next generation of St. Helena athletes. Every contribution—large or small—brings us one step closer to making Crane Park the home our players deserve.

Opportunities for Support in 2026

NEW RESTROOM | $200,000

The construction of a new restroom at the Snack Shack would enhance child safety by minimizing the time children spend unsupervised while walking to and from distant facilities. It reduces the need for young players to cross parking lots, reduces unsupervised travel, and allows coaches or parents to keep children within better sight lines, enhancing overall supervision.

FACILITY LIGHTING | $150,000

Lighting a Little League baseball field extends playing time beyond daylight hours, allowing for evening games and increased facility usage after school/work. Proper lighting improves player safety by enhancing visibility, reducing shadows that lead to injuries, and allowing for better tracking of fly balls. It also creates a better experience for spectators, ensures safety, and maximizes revenue opportunities

FENCING | $40,000

We need to replace fencing around both fields and the batting cages. Aged fences are severely curled and frayed, allowing balls and other objects to pass through and posing risk for serious injury.

FIELDWORK + EROSION CONTROL | $20,000

Both Crane East and West are due once again for resurfacing. Heavy annual rains have washed out the infields, which leads to annual maintenance and expense. By installing sod behind home plate and in front of the dugouts, we will mitigate this annual impact with a long term solution.

ALL-STAR UNIFORMS | $12,000

Each year following our regular season, the league’s most committed players are selected to participate in divisional All-Star Tournaments. Please help us support our players by contributing toward the purchase of this year’s new All-Star uniforms!
