The Winterset PTO is excited to bring you our first ever Husky Hustle event! From October 15–29, elementary and middle school students have been invited to ask family, friends and neighbors to support their walk-a-thon fundraising goals in order to help our schools thrive!

Our school-community goal is $25,000. If every student takes the $50 challenge, we could reach an incredible $42,500.

The PTO’s funds go towards:

$100 per teacher for Back to School expenses ($7500/year)
$1,000 per grade level (plus specials) for additional expenses ($9500/year)
$1,500 for ISASP snacks
$700 towards Back to School obstacle course
$650 towards WES & WMS end of year celebrations
Field Trip funding
Prize Closet Support
Teacher Appreciation efforts

On Friday, October 30, students will celebrate with a school-day walk-a-thon. We’ll be walking at the Winterset High School track and showing off our school spirit! There will be music, snacks and drinks for the students to enjoy!

Fun milestones:

• Oct. 19: a small prize for every student who has received a donation by Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.

• Oct. 22: a small prize for students who have raised $50+ by Oct. 21 at 5 p.m.

• Oct. 27: a small prize for students who have raised $100+ by Oct. 26 at 5 p.m.

• $250+: community-hero ride experience and an entry into the large-prize drawing

• Top grade by dollars per student: pizza party

• Top fundraiser at each school: grand prize

✨⭐Every donation given in a students name will enter them into a drawing for one of our five grand prizes at the end of the fundraiser!⭐✨

Participation is optional, and no student needs to raise money to join the walk and celebration. The easiest way to help is to share your student’s approved link with a short personal note.

Thank you for taking big steps for Winterset kids!
