City in the Community (CITC) is the nonprofit foundation proudly supported by New York City FC. As a 501(c)(3) organization, CITC's mission is to empower New York City youth through soccer by creating safe spaces and opportunities for children to play, learn, and lead. Through free soccer programming, mentorship, leadership development, tournaments, and innovative educational initiatives focused on STEM and AI, CITC provides young people—particularly those in underserved communities—with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive both on and off the field.

This year marks an exciting milestone as the first-ever year that City in the Community has participated as an official charity partner of the TCS New York City Marathon. By running for CITC, marathon participants are helping raise critical funds to support free programming that reaches thousands of children across the five boroughs each year. Every mile run and every dollar raised directly contributes to creating healthier, more inclusive communities while providing young people with access to safe spaces, positive role models, leadership opportunities, and life-changing experiences through the power of soccer. As our inaugural marathon team, these runners are helping expand CITC's impact and build brighter futures for the next generation of New Yorkers.
