Three years ago, Colorado Extreme put an outdoor rink in Carbondale and a hard question in front of the hockey world: what if every kid in the Roaring Fork Valley could play, no matter what their family could afford? The NHL Alumni Outdoor Classic is the answer.

Every December, NHL legends hit the ice one more time — outdoors, at Steadman Philippon Arena, with Mount Sopris standing watch in the background. Last year, alumni including Peter Forsberg, Marc-Andre Fleury, Henrik Lundqvist, Duncan Keith, and Tyson Barrie skated for it. Close to 1,300 fans packed the benches. The weekend raised nearly $1 million — every dollar aimed at one target: getting kids on the ice who couldn't otherwise afford to be there.

This December, we do it again. Bigger.

What your ticket or donation funds Colorado Extreme is a 501(c)(3). We cover gear and ice time for 500+ kids across Carbondale, Rifle, and Craig, coached by a staff with NHL and NCAA experience. Zero financial barriers. That's not a tagline — it's the operating model, and this weekend is what keeps it running.

Fantasy Camp (Aspen) — Skate alongside NHL alumni. Limited spots.

Every dollar — ticket, sponsorship, or straight donation — goes toward keeping hockey open to any kid who wants to play.
