Help Wichita Runners Build Bridges, One Run at a Time

Wichita and Orléans, France, have shared a special connection since World War II—one that officially became a Sister Cities relationship in 1973.

This year, 14 members of RUN WICHITA have the honor of traveling to Orléans for the 50th anniversary of Les Courses de l’Indien, a unique run that takes place around the Keeper of the Plains statue Wichita gifted to Orléans.

For these runners, this is more than a race. It is an opportunity to represent Wichita, celebrate our Sister City connection, and honor a friendship that has crossed generations and an ocean.

The runners are covering the majority of their trip expenses themselves. Your donation will help provide support for additional and unexpected travel and participation expenses, helping ensure they can fully take part in this historic celebration.

Help us build bridges, one run at a time.

Thank you for supporting our runners and the enduring connection between Wichita and Orléans!

Any additional funds raised will be utilized to support Sister Cities (France Committee) activities.
