I have been working to build safer communities for everyone in South Carolina and beyond for 25 years now. Each year bring some steps forward, but there is still a long, long way to go. Our focus at SCCADVASA is on creating capacity for us to reach our goals through policy advocacy (local, state and national), training, expertise, support for direct services, increased prevention within communities, and care for all who have experienced violence in the place they should feel safest, their home.
It would mean so much to me for you to donate to our Porch Lights campaign this year. A suggested donation of $25 gets you five luminaries to light on October 8th to show your commitment to supporting survivors and a safer South Carolina. It's also $1 for every year I've done this work!
If you live in Columbia, I will deliver your luminaries to you, or you can pick them up from our table at Soda City on Sept 19th. If not, I still hope you will donate to support my work and light your own luminaries or switch on your porch light that night.
