Homelessness rarely begins with a single bad decision. It begins with a fragile moment. And without intervention, that moment can spiral into something far harder to repair.

Since 2010, Spirit of Hope has stepped into that fragile moment with one clear belief: housing is the foundation for everything else.

We are a Carson City–based nonprofit dedicated to preventing homelessness through safe, stable housing and wraparound support. Our housing-first, sober-living model is simple and effective. We provide emergency assistance, long-term housing programs, and ongoing support that helps residents regain stability and move toward self-sufficiency .

We don’t just offer a room.
We offer a reset.

Inside our homes, residents find more than shelter. They find structure. Accountability. Encouragement. A community that believes in their future. Many arrive feeling defeated. Over time, we watch them return to work, rebuild relationships, manage finances, and reclaim their dignity.

There is consistent demand for our services. The need in Carson City is real. And the cost of doing nothing is far greater than the cost of prevention.

Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to support ongoing operations across our homes. These funds help cover:

• Utilities and household expenses
• Maintenance and property care
• Resident support services
• Basic necessities that create a safe, stable environment
