Join us for our 2nd Annual Springsong Museum Meet & Greet, a free community celebration at the future home of Springsong Museum!

📍 Location: Burnt Mills East Park, 10701 Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20901
📅 Date: Saturday, October 31
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Be among the first to experience what's taking shape at the future Springsong Museum! This informal, drop-in event is a wonderful opportunity to meet the museum team and explore plans for the future - a museum inspired by the wonder and wisdom of Silver Spring resident, Rachel Carson, that will connect people of all ages with nature.

We hope you can join us to:

Enjoy hands-on activities, including a nature observation station with microscopes
Learn more about Carson through early editions of her books
Take a selfie with a life-sized cutout of Carson by the Northwest Branch
Go on a native plant walk led by members of the Maryland Native Plant Society
Listen to a short talk about the fascinating history of the historic Burnt Mills site
Support the museum and help us spread the word by purchasing a Springsong t-shirt!

Children can also enjoy a scavenger hunt and take home fun museum giveaways, while adults can explore architectural models, concept drawings, and inspiration boards that offer a glimpse into the museum's future.

Special giveaway alert! Receive a Springsong T-shirt with a Donation over $30. Select your size and pick up the shirt at the event!

Whether you visited us last year or are discovering Springsong Museum for the first time, we'd love to welcome you. Come celebrate the progress we've made, share your ideas, and help shape a museum that will inspire curiosity, conservation, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
