Students to do Adirondack Chair Art Contest

From February 9 - 21, 2026 students in The Windham Central Supervisory Union, The Windham Southeast Supervisory Union, and The Windham Northeast Supervisory Union were eligible to participate in an art contest that can help raise funds for their school.

Caleb’s Cherubs Educational Fund has two pine and spruce Adirondack Chairs graciously donated by Wood Works by Albert Litchfield, III that could use some “Creative Art.”

Students enrolled in Townshend Elementary School, Wardsboro Elementary School, Bellows Falls Middle School, Saxtons River Elementary School, and The Dover School participated in this one-of-a-kind contest.

Each student who participated submitted their artwork in paper form. Each drawing was then uploaded to the "Givebutter" platform for voting to begin on March 1st and will be up for voting by the community for two weeks, ending March 14th at midnight.

When voting is closed, the two winning students will have the chance to see their artwork applied onto a chair by artist Sarah Littlebrook. When finished, each chair will be donated to the winning school.

The school will also receive a scholarship donation with a choice to use for an after-school program or an art class.

There was no entry fee for the students. Any type of color could be used: crayons, colored pencils, colored pens, watercolors, etc.

The ideas were well thought out and represent something that is special to the student. Students were also encouraged to partner with fellow classmates on their design.
