The Broward Sierra Group invites you to join us for a special evening of joyfulness, community, and environmental advocacy at our 2026 Gala Celebration. The event will be held at the Jacaranda Country Club on Friday, October 2, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.

This year’s Gala features the presentation of Environmental Legacy Awards to Broward County Commissioner Beam Furr and former Broward Sierra Group Executive Committee Chair Leah Weisburd. Commissioner Furr will be recognized for his achievements and longstanding efforts to protect the environment, and Leah Weisburd will be honored for her many years of environmental leadership, service, and advocacy. Sunrise Mayor Mike Ryan will also receive special recognition as our 2026 Environmental Changemaker Award recipient for his ongoing dedication as an elected official in developing and seeing through environmental policy and programs.

Guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., an elegant buffet dinner, and dessert and coffee service. There will be plenty of music and dancing throughout the night with DJ Hollywood, a Broward Sierra fundraising raffle, pledge opportunities, and special giveaways to our guests.
