Framingham Grows Food is excited to host our 15th annual Framingham Vegetable Gardens Tour on Saturday, August 29th, from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM.

Join us for a free tour of home and community gardens, to get inspiration, ideas, and advice from local gardeners!

This year’s tour will feature gardens on the north side of Framingham, in the Saxonville and Nobscot neighborhoods. The tour will begin at 9:00 AM at Open Spirit (39 Edwards St.), where we will first visit the Framingham Community Farm. Next, we will travel by carpool together to see four beautiful and creative home gardens in the area. Then, our final tour stop will be at the Palmer Family Victory Over Hunger Community Garden at Beacon of Hope United Methodist Church, after which point our carpool will return to Open Spirit. We request that tour attendees participate in carpooling in order to manage parking at home gardens, and to reduce our environmental footprint.

A suggested donation of $15 per tour ticket is greatly appreciated, but not required, to register.

Details:

This is a rain or shine event - only severe weather will cause cancellation
Please bring a reusable water bottle and snacks, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear
Bathrooms will be available at the first and last tour stops
Carpooling will be facilitated in order to manage parking at home gardens

Timing:

9:00 AM - Meet at Open Spirit, 39 Edwards St., to arrange carpooling
9:15 AM - 12:35 PM - Tour 6 gardens in north Framingham via carpool
12:45 PM - Carpool returns to Open Spirit
