As a historic property that receives no tax dollars from Town Hall, Lounsbury House depends largely on membership, our annual appeal, community donations, and event fundraising to preserve this beloved landmark while supporting programming and gatherings that enrich our town. With every event held here — weddings, galas, performances, and community get-togethers — we also help drive local economic activity, drawing people to Ridgefield’s shops, restaurants, arts & entertainment, and vibrant Main Street. As we celebrate our 130th year, we are currently undertaking important renovations to the basement garden level, including ADA improvements and flexible, accessible space, so we can better serve guests of all abilities and continue welcoming the entire community with warmth and inclusivity.
