The Freshman Sendoff is a special celebration designed to honor and uplift our newest class of college-bound students as they prepare to begin an exciting new chapter. Taking place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Northside Baptist Church, this gathering will bring together students, families, and community members to recognize the hard work, achievements, and bright futures of our incoming freshmen. The event will feature words of encouragement, fellowship, and resources to help students transition successfully into college life.

The celebration will continue the following day with a Send Off Blessing during Sunday Worship Service on Sunday July 26, 2026, at 4pm also at Northside Baptist Church. Pastor Rev. Dr. Walter L Parrish III '81 will welcome Pastor Rev. Dr. Walter S. Thomas, Jr. '03 of New Psalmist Baptist Church, who will share an inspiring message and offer prayers and blessings over the students as they embark on their journeys. This powerful moment of faith and community support will send our students off covered in encouragement, purpose, and prayer.
