Dental Day 2026: Sponsor a Horse!

We're getting ready for a big veterinary dental day at Gentle Spirit Horses Rescue, and we need your help!

On November 11, we're tentatively scheduled to have our veterinarian visit the farm to provide dental care for up to 18 horses, many of whom are seniors or recent arrivals with unknown dental histories.

Regular dental care is an important part of keeping horses healthy and comfortable. Sharp points, uneven wear, loose or damaged teeth, and other dental problems can make chewing painful, interfere with proper nutrition, and contribute to weight loss. For horses recovering from neglect or malnutrition, addressing dental issues can be an especially important part of rehabilitation.

With so many horses needing attention, this will be a big undertaking! We're planning for the possibility of two veterinary days to give each horse the time and care they need.

Help Us Raise $4,500!

Our goal is to raise $250 per horse to help cover dental examinations, floats and other necessary dental care, along with the veterinary farm calls and related expenses. We will also be freezebranding and microchipping horses as needed.

You can choose a specific horse to sponsor, contribute toward their $250 goal, or make a general donation to support Dental Day. Every contribution helps us prepare for this important veterinary visit!

Many of the horses on our list have been with us for years, while others are newer arrivals who may never have received routine dental care. All deserve the opportunity to be comfortable, healthy, and able to eat properly.

Will you help us get ready for Dental Day?

Please note: The final list of horses receiving treatment and the procedures performed will depend on each horse's needs and our veterinarian's recommendations. All donations support the overall Dental Day campaign, and any funds raised beyond the actual expenses will be directed to Gentle Spirit Horses Rescue's general fund to support ongoing care for our horses.
