The MERIDIAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION, is governed by a ten-member volunteer Board of Directors from across the geographic area of the school district. It operates as a IRS tax-exempt, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, completely independent of the Meridian Unit School District. The Board approves grants from its designated and unrestricted funds in response to applications from community organizations or at the recommendation of the donors. It also serves as the neutral leader with no affiliation with any group, religion, or political or government entity.

The Foundation intends to support all aspects of our school - education, health, and welfare, culture, and recreation. The challenge is now up to us to continue the growth of this venture.

Foundation Board Members are: Tara Jepsen (President), Deana Simpson (Secretary), Arlett Bonne (Treasurer), Jill Huber, Darby Gensler, Megan Bosecker, Jacque Buchanan, Michael Plourde, Aly Behmer and Angela Willstead.
