Give Yourself a Reason is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and access to support for teens and young adults, with a strong focus on Brevard County, Florida. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for education, connection, hope, and early intervention while helping reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

Through community outreach, school-based awareness efforts, our annual gala, the Every Step Begins with a Reason 5K, and other mission-driven initiatives, we work to engage young people, families, schools, and community partners in conversations that encourage connection and remind individuals that difficult moments do not have to define their future.

As Give Yourself a Reason grows, we are also developing a Mental Health Access Fund to help teens and young adults obtain counseling when cost creates a barrier. By combining awareness, education, community engagement, and direct support, our goal is to help young people feel seen, supported, and connected to the resources and people they need—while building a community where asking for help is met with compassion and hope.
