For 20 years, Fuerza Laboral has empowered workers across Rhode Island through organization, education, and advocacy. Founded in 2006, we began as a small worker center in Central Falls and have since helped recover over $3 million in stolen wages, launched co-ops, and created pathways to economic opportunity.

Our mission is about more than addressing issues; it’s about building worker empowerment and leadership. We’ve seen the impact of collective action, from entrepreneurs to cooperative businesses and family support networks during crises.

Yet, challenges remain. As costs rise and job security wanes, we have an opportunity to build an economy that prioritizes worker voices and protections.
