Million Meal Movement began in 2007 with a simple idea: bring people together to help feed neighbors facing hunger.

What started small has grown into a statewide movement. Over the past 20 years, thousands of volunteers, businesses, schools, churches, families and community partners have come together to pack more than 40 million meals.

Today, Million Meal Movement works alongside food banks and pantries across Indiana, helping strengthen the organizations that already know and serve their communities. Every meal we pack stays in Indiana.

But the story has never been only about meals.

It is about what happens when people recognize that they each have a role to play. Volunteers give their time. Businesses and donors provide resources. Million Meal Movement provides the infrastructure and expertise to bring people together. Food banks and pantries connect those meals with neighbors who need them.

No one organization ends hunger alone.

Communities do.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are honoring the thousands of people and organizations who have helped build this Movement — and inviting even more Hoosiers to be part of what comes next.

20 years. More than 40 million meals. And we’re still adding to the story.
