As our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, we proudly celebrate a milestone of our own: over 250,000 community members served. These are not just numbers. They are nurses caring for our families, teachers shaping our children, business leaders strengthening our economy, and neighbors building a better Northwest Georgia every day.

In just the past few years alone, GHC students have completed more than 250,000 credit hours, taken part in over 25,000 courses, and joined a growing network of alumni making an impact across our communities.

Additionally, GHC has contributed more than $2.5 billion combined annual economic impact to our communities, helping our region grow, thrive, and succeed.

This is what it means to be 250,000 Strong!

But our story is not finished.

Fall 2026 is projected to be one of the largest incoming classes in the history of Georgia Highlands College. More students than ever are choosing GHC because they believe in the power of education to change their future.

And yet, for too many students, that future is at risk.

Every semester, hardworking students—families right here in our community—are forced to stop out or are dropped from classes simply because they cannot cover a remaining balance. Often, that gap is just a few hundred dollars. But for those students, it can mean the difference between continuing their education or putting their dreams on hold.

That’s where you come in.

We are asking our community to come together to raise $250,000 to ensure that no student is dropped for non-payment in Fall 2026.

Your gift will directly support students who are doing everything right—working hard, showing up, and striving for a better future—but just need a final push to stay enrolled and succeed.

Ready to Start Scholarship

At Georgia Highlands College, we believe no student should have to pause or abandon their education over just a few hundred dollars. That’s why, together with the GHC Foundation, our leadership team created the “Ready to Start” Scholarship — a lifeline for students who are just shy of covering their tuition after financial aid and other scholarships.

For many students, the gap is small — often just $200 — but the impact is life-changing. With over 70% of first-time, full-time GHC students relying on financial aid and Foundation scholarships, your gift can be the final push that turns “almost enrolled” into “ready to start.”

Your support means more than money — it means opening doors, fueling dreams, and changing futures.

Cost to Enroll at GHC

$1,608 covers the cost for a full-time semester (12 credit hours) for one student at GHC.
$8,000 covers the cost for a full two-year degree for one student at GHC.
$16,000 covers the cost for a full bachelor's degree for one student at GHC.
