The Blue Ridge 250 is an annual charity fundraising event to support FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress) and provide an enjoyable motorcycle adventure for its participants.

It is actually two events in one, providing two Road Ride options (200 mi. north GA and 250 mi. north GA and NC) on pavement over the Southern Appalachian’s best roads and an Adventure Ride over unpaved Forest Service roads for adventure touring and dual sport riders.

The event takes place at the world famous Two Wheels of Suches Motorcycle Campground and Resort, where the morning rider’s meeting, we will hear about the wonderful things being done for the children of FOCUS. Door prizes will be awarded and top fundraisers will be recognized.

Gathering during the included lunch will give us a chance to mingle with fellow riders.

Seldom will you have a chance to participate in a better organized event and ride some of the most spectacular roads in the area. Chances are many of them will be new and exciting places your motorcycle has never seen.

Each registered rider will receive an information packet with route directions at check-in. Registered riders will receive a paper route sheet at check-in. The Road Ride route sheet is 5″ x 8.5″, suitable for the map pocket of a tank bag. The Adventure Ride route sheet is available in both the 5″ x 8.5″ format or a 2″ wide roll chart. Roll chart holders will be for sale and zip lock bags and tape will be available for the tank bag format sheets if the rider doesn’t have a tank bag. GPX files for GPS will also be provided.

This will be a self-guided tour, but riders are encouraged to ride with a small group of other participants. This is not a timed event. The route may be completed on schedule without exceeding the posted speed limits. No one will ride alone. Solo riders will be paired with a riding partner. We think reading and following the route sheet adds to the fun of the riding experience.

Due to insurance requirements, minor (under age 18) riders or passengers MUST present a current digital AMA Minor Release Card at event check-in. The digital AMA Minor Release Card application is linked here.

Allow 2-3 weeks for processing. A current AMA membership for the minor is required to obtain the digital AMA Minor Release Card.

In addition, AT LEAST ONE parent or legal guardian named on the application must be present at the event. There will be NO exceptions.
