Beauty interrupts the cycle of despair.

Research shows that the spaces we inhabit influence mental health, belonging, and hope. When refugee communities are able to care for and beautify their surroundings, stress decreases, connection grows, and people begin to imagine a future again.

What we do

Everyplace works alongside refugee-led organizations to help communities transform the places where they live into places that feel like home.

Instead of imposing outside plans, these leaders begin by asking their neighbors a simple but powerful question:

Where is beauty here?

From gardens and gathering spaces to homes, workshops, and streets, communities identify the places that already hold meaning and possibility.

From there, they design projects that bring those spaces to life through art, care, and creativity.

This year, eight organizations across the world are preparing projects that will transform shared spaces in refugee camps, settlements, and displacement-affected neighborhoods.

They are ready to begin implementing those projects this summer.

Now they need partners who believe this work matters.

We are building a community of 26 supporters who will commit to a monthly gift of $100 or more to help sustain this growing movement.

Everyplace builds on the foundational work conducted by Clark University’s Home Ground Lab.

Home Ground Lab was a research initiative that explored how beauty, place, and the built environment shape dignity and belonging for communities affected by displacement.

This lab developed frameworks, methodologies and concepts demonstrating that beauty isn't optional in humanitarian response; it's infrastructure. Everyplace works to advance and implement these findings.
