Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican culture with a Chandler tradition!

C.A.L.L.E de AZ (Culture, Arts, Leadership & Education) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to honoring Mexican culture, empowering youth, and building stronger communities through the arts. Our mission goes beyond organizing Mariachi and Folklorico events. We create opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, embrace education, and take pride in their heritage. Through music, dance, and cultural celebrations, we bring people together, spark connections, and enrich the vibrant fabric of the Phoenix Valley.

Our Roots

C.A.L.L.E de AZ began in 1997 as the Chandler Coalition for Civil and Human Rights (C3HR), founded by community leaders Joe Garcia and Eddie Encinas. Their vision of cultural pride and community empowerment continues to inspire our work today.

Our Work

• Scholarships: Inspiring the next generation through education and helping them achieve their academic goals by offering scholarships.

• Workshops & Training: Hosting Mariachi and Folklorico classes to preserve traditions and nurture talent.

• Signature Event: The Annual Mariachi & Folklorico Festivals, drawing hundreds of attendees, celebrates Hispanic heritage while supporting local businesses near the Chandler Center for the Arts and in March at the Herberger Theater Center in Downtown Phoenix.
