Each year the Bobcats for Christ hosts a mission effort on the island of Jamaica. A trained team of college students, ministers, and enthusiastic volunteers go to the island to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthen churches and share the material they need to continue to do the great work in which they are engaged.

This year, we will work hand-in-hand with the Lord’s Church in Runaway Bay where Joel Perrote is the evangelist. The Run Away Bay Church of Christ is a young congregation in a booming community on the island. We’re excited to work alongside veteran gospel preachers from the area as we preach the Gospel to their community.

While many college-age students take spring break as an opportunity to relax, our students at the McCarty Student Center have chosen instead to forego the works of the flesh to abound in the fruit of the spirit. Our 16 member team will be trained to make contacts, initiate studies, and lead Bible studies. We utilize two study sheets, “God’s Greatest Gift” and “Finding the Church of the Bible.”
