We have identified over $60,000 in critical facility needs to prepare Inspiration Hills for its next 60 years. Your donation to the Decade Challenge goes directly into the "60th Anniversary Decade Challenge," which provides the flexibility to tackle the entire list where it is needed most.

Preservation: Sandblasting and sealing the seasonal cabins and restoring the Red Barn.
Safety: Lifting the foundation of Hickory Cabin and regrading the Family Camp area.
Infrastructure: Replacing the Lake Culvert, fixing the Lake Storage roof, and painting the Dining Hall deck.

Exciting News: $40,000 Education Pavilion Grant Approved!

As we honor our 60th Anniversary under the banner of "Going Deeper and Reaching Out," we are thrilled to announce a historic investment in the future of Inspiration Hills. The Wayne County Community Foundation has officially approved a foundation grant of $40,000 to fund the structural core of our upcoming, 1,200 sq. ft. timber-framed Outdoor Education Pavilion!

This structure is the essential launch pad for our future programming, serving as our primary outdoor classroom as we prepare to relaunch our historic, standards-based Outdoor Education programs for regional schools and debut our brand-new School-Break Day Camp series in 2027 to both help working families and provide exciting activities for area kids.

Completing the Vision: The General Facilities Fund Push

The foundation has provided the structural spark—now it's up to our community to bring the surrounding site to life. To finish site grading, prepare the post footings, hook up utilities, and establish fully accessible paths to this incredible new open-air facility, we estimate it will take roughly $15,000 to completely finalize construction.

To maximize every dollar, all contributions given toward this milestone flow directly into our general Facilities Fund. This ensures that every gift is deployed where it is needed most across our 200-acre Burbank footprint. Our immediate operational focus is completing this pavilion safely and debt-free; should we under-spend on construction or exceed our site enhancement projections, any surplus community funds will be instantly redirected into other critical capital renewals, such as much-needed restorations to our classic Beechwood Dining Hall deck.
