We have identified over $60,000 in critical facility needs to prepare Inspiration Hills for its next 60 years. Your donation to the Decade Challenge goes directly into the "60th Anniversary Decade Challenge," which provides the flexibility to tackle the entire list where it is needed most.

Your gift will help us address projects across the entire facility, including:

Preservation: Sandblasting and sealing the seasonal cabins and restoring the Red Barn.
Safety: Lifting the foundation of Hickory Cabin and regrading the Family Camp area.
Infrastructure: Replacing the Lake Culvert, fixing the Lake Storage roof, and painting the Dining Hall deck.

Team 1: The Pioneers (Heritage)

"Honoring Our Foundation" Join this team if you value the roots of Inspiration Hills. You want to ensure we never lose the simple, rugged spirit that started it all.

Championing: Family Camp area & Bathhouse, Pine Lodge sealing, Red Barn repairs.

Team 2: The Builders (Community)

"Strengthening Our Community" Join this team if you value the gathering places. You want to ensure our cabins and Dining Hall remain safe, welcoming spaces for campers to connect.

Championing: The Cabins and the Dining Hall Deck.

Team 3: The Modern Era (Stewardship)

"Securing Our Future" Join this team if you value sustainability. You want to invest in the infrastructure—from the lake to the utilities—that keeps the camp running for the next generation.

Championing: The Lake, Recreation areas, and Modern Facilities.

The 60th Anniversary Shine-Up Work Day

What is it? The "Shine-Up" is a one-day, all-hands-on-deck volunteer event to prepare Inspiration Hills Camp for its milestone 60th Anniversary celebration. It is a day of community service where we tackle the "visual" projects—cleaning, painting, and clearing—that our small staff cannot do alone.

The Goal: To polish the camp so it looks its absolute best for the thousands of guests and alumni visiting during our Diamond Anniversary season. We aren't just fixing buildings; we are preserving the backdrop of 60 years of memories.

Who is it for? Everyone! We have organized the work into three "Crews" so people of all skill levels can contribute:

Paint & Polish Crew: For those who want to see immediate results (Painting cabins, waxing floors).
Demo & Debris Squad: For those who like heavy lifting and outdoor work (Clearing brush, moving materials).
Detail & Finish Team: For those who are handy with tools or meticulous (Installing gutter guards, fixing windows).

Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Meets at the Dining Hall.
Perks: Breakfast (Coffee/Donuts) and Lunch (Cookout) are provided for all volunteers.

Why does it matter? By relying on volunteers for labor, we save thousands of dollars that can go directly toward purchasing high-quality materials (like new metal roofs and plumbing fixtures) rather than paying for contractors. Your time literally buys us better equipment!
