Louder Than Stigma: Punk Rock for Perinatal Mental Health

Join After the Birthquake for our 2nd Annual Gala on Saturday, November 14, 2026!

This year, we’re turning the volume up on an issue that too often gets pushed into the background: perinatal mental health.

Our theme, Punk Rock for Perinatal Mental Health, is about breaking the silence, challenging stigma, and creating space for honest conversations about what can happen during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, and beyond.

Because sometimes the hardest part of a difficult experience is feeling like you’re the only one who went through it.

After the Birthquake, Inc. was created to support women and families navigating birth trauma, pregnancy complications, pregnancy loss, infertility, and other difficult perinatal experiences. We provide peer support, connection, education, advocacy, and resources. Because people deserve to know they aren’t alone, and they don’t have to prove that their experience was “traumatic enough” to deserve support.

Our gala is one of the ways we make that work possible.

What to expect:

Come dressed in your best punk-formal style and join us for an evening filled with:

-Dinner
-Live music
-A cash bar
-Raffles
-Meaningful stories and conversations
-A whole lot of punk-rock spirit

This isn’t just a night out.

It’s a night to stand beside families who have experienced the unexpected, the complicated, the heartbreaking, and the life-changing parts of the perinatal journey.

Every ticket purchased helps support After the Birthquake’s ongoing work, including peer support groups, educational opportunities, resources, outreach, and the continued development of accessible support for families in Northern and North-Central Wisconsin.

Your ticket helps us turn support into action.

By joining us, you’re helping us say:

Your experience matters.
Your story matters.
You deserve support.
You are not alone.

So put on your punk-formal best, bring your people, and come help us make some noise.

Let’s get louder than stigma.
