Founded in 1996, Collaborative Solutions for Communities is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit dedicated to stabilizing families, preventing violence, and creating sustainable opportunities for individuals and communities in need. For 30 years, CSC has delivered life-changing programs by meeting people where they are—on the streets, in homes, in schools—and providing solutions to the most pressing challenges facing our community.

CSC’s Comprehensive Services:

Child Welfare Services Provides community-based child welfare services focused on keeping kids and families together through our Healthy Families/Thriving Communities Collaborative.
Violence Prevention Immediate response through critical incident meetings, youth mentorship, and programs like the Timberwolves soccer initiative, designed to prevent gang involvement among young men.
Reentry Support Services for formerly incarcerated women, including skill-building and family reintegration support.
Workforce Development Career training, employer partnerships, and placement programs that help residents achieve long-term economic stability.
Rapid Rehousing & Family Stabilization Case management and emergency assistance to ensure families at risk have a safe and stable home.

Through these programs, CSC empowers residents to overcome trauma, build resilience, and achieve safety and opportunity. Every day, the organization transforms lives and strengthens neighborhoods across the District of Columbia.

On Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 5:30 PM, CSC will celebrate its 30th Anniversary at the Schuyler Ballroom, Hamilton Hotel, 1001 14th Street NW, Washington, DC. The Gala will honor leaders in the Philanthropic, Corporate, and Community categories whose vision, advocacy, and generosity have strengthened families and neighborhoods.

The evening will feature:

Recognition of honorees who exemplify leadership and impact
Live entertainment and a catered dinner

This milestone celebration also serves as the organization’s signature fundraising initiative, with a goal of raising $500,000. Contributions will expand critical services in violence prevention, youth development, workforce training, reentry support, and family stabilization, ensuring CSC can continue delivering measurable, life-changing impact across the District.
