At Rebuilding Together Petaluma, we believe everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home.

That's why we're transforming Lassar Commons into something our community desperately needs: a pathway from homelessness to housing, employment, and long-term stability.

What was once a single-family property is becoming an innovative affordable housing campus that combines workforce development, supportive housing, and community connection. The site already serves participants in our RTP Works program, providing affordable housing alongside paid employment, career coaching, and supportive services.

Now we're taking the next step.

We are building two ADA-accessible ADUs specifically designed for older adults experiencing homelessness and adults with disabilities. These units will provide safe, dignified housing for some of our community's most vulnerable neighbors - people who often face significant barriers to securing stable housing.

Why This Matters

Homelessness among older adults is one of the fastest-growing challenges in California. Many seniors are living on fixed incomes, facing rising rents, health challenges, and limited housing options.

These new units will provide:

ADA accessibility and aging-in-place design
Stability and security
Access to supportive services and community resources
A pathway to improved health and well-being

Building More Than Housing

Lassar Commons is a model for how communities come together to address homelessness, workforce development, and affordable housing simultaneously. The property will eventually include multiple affordable housing units, community gathering spaces, and opportunities for residents to build skills, connections, and brighter futures. We are proud to partner with Conex Modular on these future housing units.
