Join our pride this Giving Tuesday and your gift will be matched up to $12,000, thanks to the generosity of LION's Board of Trustees! Help transform the lives of LION students and families through two key programs: K–12 Independent Reading & Research and K–12 Family Program & Urgent Family Support.

Two Key Programs

K-12 Independent Reading & Research

LION is committed to creating a strong literacy foundation for all students. Our independent reading program in K-8 is a daily reading program designed to build independent reading stamina and a love for reading. Through robust classroom libraries, we offer students a variety of genres and books at all levels for all readers. Our high school students engage in independent research as part of our AP Capstone Program, using myriad texts to ground their research.

K-12 Family Programming & Urgent Family Support

Our vision is for each LION family to be fully engaged in our school community, working in partnership with faculty and staff through family meetings, events, retreats, and celebrations. Our program centers on self-reflection, student and family well-being, communication, and ensuring all students are prepared for college and other post-secondary opportunities. We also support families in need of additional resources through our Urgent Family Relief Fund.

#LIONHearted: A Season of Gratitude!

This holiday season, we are excited to launch #LIONHearted, a campaign to celebrate what makes our LION family truly special by sharing our stories of gratitude and generosity. We want to hear why you're thankful for LION Charter School and how you plan to spread kindness and gratitude throughout the season. Whether it's a touching memory, a moment of inspiration, or a plan to give back this holiday season, we want to hear your stories!

How to participate:

Choose one of the following prompts:

Prompt 1: "I'm grateful for LION Charter School because..."

Prompt 2: "This holiday season, I plan to show gratitude by..."

Capture your response in a photo or video. It could be a simple selfie, a family gathering, a short clip of you sharing your story, or a snapshot of a special moment at LION. Feel free to include a fun caption if you'd like!
