I’m raising $1,800 to help bring Holocaust survivor stories into classrooms and communities. And I’m asking for your support.
Two of my grandparents are Holocaust survivors. My grandfather survived the Łódź Ghetto. My grandmother fled Nazi Germany in 1938, months before Kristallnacht. Today, my grandparents are 98 and 95 years old. They are living witnesses to one of the darkest chapters in human history.
Their survival is not just history to me. It is my responsibility.
I volunteer my time to speak in schools, synagogues, and community spaces, sharing my grandfather’s story of survival and my grandmother’s story of escape. I bring photographs of them - then and now.
Every session is about building empathy. About helping young people connect to history not as something distant, but as something human. About making sure “Never Again” is not just a slogan, but a commitment.
Even though I volunteer my time, each speaker session costs about $360 to make happen: covering coordination, logistics, and the infrastructure needed to bring these stories into classrooms and communities.
When we fund this work, we are not just preserving stories.
We are:
-
Countering antisemitism and hate with lived testimony
-
Teaching history through human connection
-
Building empathy in the next generation
-
Honoring survivors while they are still here to see their impact
My grandparents are still with us. That is an extraordinary gift. But time is precious. Every opportunity to share their story while they are alive is sacred.
If their story moves you, if you believe in education, empathy, and remembrance, I ask you to help me reach my $1,800 goal.
Your donation directly supports bringing these stories into more rooms, more schools, and more hearts.
Thank you for standing with me - and with them.
