As a granddaughter of 4 Holocaust survivors (3G), I am committed to telling my grandparents stories to honor their legacies and keep their memories of survival, life and love alive. It is my responsibility to turn memory into action through 3GNJ.
Since 2023, I have spoken to THOUSANDS of students across New York and New Jersey. Every student who hears these stories becomes a witness; they are a witness to what happens when people do not stand up to hatred. The impact my presentaton has made on these students has been inspring and directly combats antisemitism.
My most recent presentation at a school left me with this feedback: "Pamela was responsive to the needs of the special education students in the group. Her understanding of middle school students was very clear throughout the presentation. She was patient and responsive to all of the students' questions. The students thoroughly enjoyed listening to everything that she had to say. 10/10 would recommend Pamela Romanchuk to speak. We are looking forward to planning for her to come again next year!"
Even though I volunteer my time, each speaker session costs about $360 to make happen: covering coordination and logistics needed to bring these stories into classrooms and communities.
