Story

Jacob Case is a 5th grader at Seth Boyden Elementary School. During quarantine Jacob was inspired to create a weekly cooking vlog in order to stay active and share his cooking skills. And also because he loves to eat! Since the beginning of his journey, Jacob has posted over 70 videos with thousands of views and has published a "Cooking with Jacob" cookbook (available at our local [words] bookstore).

On Friday evening, May 13 at 6:30PM, Jacob will be leading us in a family-friendly cooking event that features MYO Tortilla Pizzas -- a great healthy dinner or snack that kids can make with minimal parental involvement -- as part of the Achieve Foundation's Nights of 100 Dinners fundraiser. All proceeds benefit programs that support our public school students and educators by addressing resource inequities and inspiring innovation throughout the district.

After registering, you will be sent a list of suggested ingredients to have on hand if you'd like to participate in real time during the Cooking with Jacob event. Please join us!

In the meantime, check out Cooking With Jacob on Facebook and Instagram

ABOUT Achieve's NIGHTS OF 100 DINNERS

Nights of 100 Dinners started as a simple concept in 2005. One night, ten dinner parties, ten guests each. Guests bought tickets to the dinners and all proceeds went to Achieve. Voila! Night of 100 Dinners was born. Over the past 17 years, we've raised more than $500,000 to fund Achieve’s programs and realize our mission to support our students, families and educators by addressing inequities, inspiring innovation and fostering community.
