Help New Ambassadors create more opportunities for new play development.

Since its first lab on April 28, 2018, NATC has:

developed 400+ plays and screenplays
hosted 300+ playwrights
worked with 1000+ actors

All in service of our mission: creating a nurturing, collaborative space where emerging playwrights can grow, take risks, and bring new stories into the world.

This fall, we reached another exciting benchmark. On October 3, we launched our first full-length reading series, Setting the Stage, opening with Maximillian Gill’s Open City to a sold-out audience of writers, actors, directors, and theatre lovers—people just like you.

And like you, we believe that new voices matter.

NATC is powered entirely by volunteers, and our production costs are modest—primarily venue rentals. But those costs are real, and they directly affect how many labs we can offer each year.

This Holiday Season, we’re asking for your help.

Our goal is to fund 100% of our 2026 Play Development Labs, ensuring that we can continue championing new writers and new work.

Your “one-in-a-hundred” gift will directly underwrite the next wave of labs—propelling us toward our next 100.
